Blue

This week we have been given a task to do any blog post idea we wanted to do. I chose to write about my favourite colour. My favourite colour is blue. Here's the reasons why. What's your favourite colour? 

Tuesday Morning

For the past few days I have been working on a piece of writing to share to my blog, the piece of writing I have completed is about a morning on a school day. I chose to do Tuesday because I felt like many people would chose Monday or Friday! Here is my writing! Enjoy. 

Summer

This week we had lots of work set for us to complete, Because I have already finished it all I decided to write about my favourite season. My favourite season is summer. Down below I explain why.

Anzac Poem

Because it is very close to Anzac day we have been working on a few poems for Anzac Day. We are in lockdown which means we have to be doing work online so we got this task set for us as we can't celebrate Anzac Day at school! Here is my poem about Anzac Day below. Character Description!

This week we have been doing a lot of task on all different types of categories. One of the activities we had to complete was a Character Description. A character description is something where you write all about a person. They could be someone you know, love, trust or someone who makes you happy!? It could be anyone!

For this task I chose to write it about my younger brother. Find out his name at the end of the story! Enjoy my blog post and remember to stay safe and warm! 

Special Place

This week we had to do more online work so my class and I have been working on a whole bunch of activities about different things. One of the tasks we had to complete was writing about a special place that is special to you. Here is my special place, - I decided to do it back in time so when my brothers birthday was. Paul Joseph Goebbels

As you can see above, there is a Diarist Fact File about a man from the World War Two. His name is ' Paul Joseph Goebbels.' For this task we had to complete one of these google drawings about what they are famous for, what they wrote, and all different types of things about him. seahorse-diamante poem

This week I have been finishing all of my activities around Mistletoe Bay off. One of the activities I finished was a diamante poem about seahorse. We could chose any poem structure and any sea creature we saw on camp so down below is what I chose.

Puppy Diamante poem ~ #2

Hi!! This week we have been learning all about poems, one of the poems we had to write was a Diamante poem. Memory Poem

This week we have been working on poems, One of the poems we have been working on was a 'Memory Poem' For our memory poem we had to chose a season or write about something which is a show don't tell and then at the end you find out what season they are talking about.

Acrostic Poem

Last week my class and I were working on acrostic poems. What we had to do was :
1. Write our name in capital letters along the side.
2. Add sentences next to our name starting with the same letter.
3. Make sure the sentences make sense!

Limerick

This week we have been working on all different types of poems, one of the poems we had to work on was a Limerick. For my limerick I chose to write about an old lady that heard a mouse in her house.

I enjoyed writing this poem because it was funny and fun to think of weird words to add all together.

Cinquain - Greymouth

This week we have been working on Cinquain poems, here is one of my poems. My cinquain poem is about Greymouth.

I chose to do my poem on Greymouth because it was easy and fun to write about.

Haiku

This week we have been working on a poem called Haiku. We had to make two poems, the first one we had to do it about a season. The other one we were allowed to do it on whatever we want. How to make a Haiku poem : first you need to have one sentence with 5 syllables, second line has 7 syllables and the ending line has 5 syllables as well. Here's my Haiku poem. GREEN poem

This week my class and I got given a task to complete two poems in the same category but completely different colours. One of the colours I chose is green, here is my green poem. I chose the colour green because it's easy to write about and there is a lot of green objects in the world. My favourite thing about this activity was describing objects. This task was very easy to write and easy to understand. Do you write any poems like mine? Enjoy! 

Identity Poem

This week we were working on poems about ourselves, this is my poem. I decided to add some of my photos which relate to me. We had to put four adjectives into the poem which was about us, three things we enjoy, we feel happy when... We also had to add our fears to the poem. Do you have to write poems in your class? This week we have been learning to write poems. We had to read a poem getting some ideas off a school journal and copy some ideas off it but change it into our own words. The whole activity is to gives some clues about ourselves and add them into the poem.
