Spotlight writing

This week we are all on level 4 lock down which means we have been doing online school all on our chrome books. We got given a few tasks to do this week, one being writing about hide and seek or spotlight. I chose to write my 'spotlight' story about when we were on our class camp. Here is my spotlight writing below.

Have you ever written a story like mine? If not you need to as it was a fun and easy task. Enjoy!

Who Am I?

Kia Ora, For the past few weeks we have been learning how to write different types of poems, one of the poems we had to complete was a 'WHO AM I?' poem. Here is my 'WHO AM I?' poem. For my photos I decided to have a big BLUE eye because my eyes are BLUE. Someone running because I run a lot, and a brain because I read a lot.

What are some things you enjoy? Well I hope you Enjoy my blog post!

Shield-Sticks and Stones

This week we have been reading a book called 'STICKS AND STONES' one of the activities we had to do around the book was writing a shield about our-self and our safety. Here I wrote where I feel safe, Where I'm happy, when I'm protected and who makes me happy/excited. The person that makes me feel happy is my best friend HANNAH. Who makes you feel safe? enjoy!

This week my class and I have been working on all sorts of different poems. One of the poems we had to complete was an Cinquain poem, here is how you make one :

    (Cinquains have five lines)

*Line 1: Title (noun) - 1 word
*Line 2: Description (adjective) - 2 words
*Line 3: Action (verb) - 3 words
*Line 4: Feeling (phrase) - 4 words
*Line 5: Title (synonym for the title) - 1 word

White Poem

This week my class and I have been working on Colour Poems. We each got to choose any colour or shade we wanted to write about. Here is one of my poems that I chose. I decided to write about "White." I chose this shade because I love lots of things that are white. Minty Peppermints and fluffy marshmallows! My favourite part about this activity was describing objects and things you love.
Do you write poems at your school? Enjoy!
