Narrative Writing

 

For the past few weeks we have been working on narrative writing, we had to watch a short film and then we had to add on to the video we watched. Here is what I made up for my story. Enjoy!

Map Making

 This week we have been working on compass directions, we were set a task to make a map for other people to complete, using compass directions. For this task we were told to make a map with 6 different locations or places for the people to come across. Here is how mine turned out:

Neptune

The thing I am most proud of is getting 67/67 on a spelling test.

I am proud of getting 100% on my spelling test because I have been working on spelling for a long time, trying to memorise all of the words. 100% means you have a spelling age of 15 years. I'm proud of getting 15 years as my spelling age. What are you most proud of and why?

Zoo Report.

This week we have been working on a report about animals, in the wild or in zoos. For this task we had to research some facts about three animals. 

The animals we had to research were Lions, kangaroos, and pandas. Some of the things I found out about these animals were where they come from, how much they weigh, what their diets are, their height, and how long they can live for. My favourite paragraph was the lions because I enjoyed finding out things I didn't know. Here is my report. What's your favourite animal? Enjoy!

This week we have been given a task to do any blog post idea we wanted to do. I chose to write about my favourite colour. My favourite colour is blue. Here's the reasons why. What's your favourite colour? 

Mummification Process

For the past few weeks the whole Totara hub has been working on a lot of things around Egypt. One of the tasks we had to complete was the Mummification Process. Here is some facts that Hannah and I have been working on for the past few days. We have added some photos at the bottom to show you what some of the Mummies look like. Ancient Egypt

This morning we were given an envelope by the teacher, inside it was pictures of things we are going to learn about this term. In the end we finished completing 3 pictures of a weird wood block with a hole, an old boat, and a hippo. The next task we got given words to unscramble and find them in a word search.  The second to last activity we went up to the teacher and got given lots of questions around maths. In the end we had to find out where about's Egypt is on the world map.

Tuesday Morning

For the past few days I have been working on a piece of writing to share to my blog, the piece of writing I have completed is about a morning on a school day. I chose to do Tuesday because I felt like many people would chose Monday or Friday! Here is my writing! Enjoy. 

Isolation Appreciation

 

This week we have been doing some work around isolation. One of the activities we had to complete was ' Isolation Appreciation.' We had an option to do this so I chose to because I thought this task would be fun to write and think of some things to do. I enjoyed doing this task because It was fast and easy! Anzac Poem

Because it is very close to Anzac day we have been working on a few poems for Anzac Day. We are in lockdown which means we have to be doing work online so we got this task set for us as we can't celebrate Anzac Day at school! Here is my poem about Anzac Day below. Character Description!

This week we have been doing a lot of task on all different types of categories. One of the activities we had to complete was a Character Description. A character description is something where you write all about a person. They could be someone you know, love, trust or someone who makes you happy!? It could be anyone!

Special Place

This week we had to do more online work so my class and I have been working on a whole bunch of activities about different things. One of the tasks we had to complete was writing about a special place that is special to you. Here is my special place, - I decided to do it back in time so when my brothers birthday was. Paul Joseph Goebbels

As you can see above, there is a Diarist Fact File about a man from the World War Two. His name is ' Paul Joseph Goebbels.' For this task we had to complete one of these google drawings about what they are famous for, what they wrote, and all different types of things about him. Personal Inquiry

 For this task we had to chose a place we visited at camp and re search about it and some things like the animals. Here is my personal inquiry to show you some facts and photos about the Lochmara Lodge. I decided to write about the Lochmara Lodge because I really enjoyed being in the touch tank and touching all the starfish and seeing the little seahorse. Have you ever held a starfish before? I have! It suctioned onto my hand after a while of holding it! Enjoy!
